Types of Anal Toys
1. Butt Plugs
These are the most common entry point. They are designed with a tapered tip for easy insertion and a flared base to ensure they don’t get lost inside.
Best for: Feeling “full” during vaginal sex or wearing for extended periods to build arousal.
Varieties: Weighted (metal), vibrating (for nerve stimulation), or jeweled (for aesthetics).
2. Anal Beads
A string of spheres that increase in size. They offer a unique “stepping stone” sensation.
How to use: Insert them one by one. Many people find pulling them out slowly just as they reach climax creates a very intense sensation.
3. Anal Training Kits
If you’re a beginner, these are highly recommended. They usually come with 3 or 4 plugs of graduated sizes.
Purpose: To help your muscles gradually relax and adjust to larger sizes over time without discomfort.
4. Inflatable Plugs
These allow you to control the level of “fullness.” You insert them while they are slim, then use a hand pump to expand them to your preferred size.
Best for: Users who want to experiment with different widths without buying multiple toys.
Vibrators: Many anal sex toys include vibration settings. Small “bullets” or specialized vibrator wands can provide targeted stimulation.
Prostate/G-Spot Massagers: While often marketed toward men, many women enjoy these because the curved tip can stimulate the vaginal wall or internal nerves from a different angle.
Since the tissue is delicate, the material of the toy is the most important factor for health:
Medical-Grade Silicone: The gold standard. It’s non-porous (doesn’t trap bacteria), hypoallergenic, and warms to body temperature.
Glass or Stainless Steel: These are non-porous and “temperature-play” friendly. You can warm them in water or cool them in the fridge.
Avoid “Jelly” or PVC: These are often porous, can smell like chemicals, and are difficult to fully sanitize.
